Adding Collections to your website

In addition to displaying your books by Series, you can organize and display them in custom groups called Collections. Use Collections to showcase your books by any categories you like — pen names, genres, tropes, you name it!

Creating a new Collection

  1. To create a Collection, navigate to the Books page under My Content in the left-hand sidebar. Click the "+ Add" Button or visit the Collections tab to add a new Collection
  2. Give your Collection a title — this title will appear publicly on your website. 
  3. Add books to the Collection by searching for titles you've added to your website. You can also add a book to a Collection from the Edit Book page.

Collections are displayed on your website homepage. You can customize the appearance of your Collections and choose which should appear on the homepage in your Website Designer (scroll to “Customize Page Sections” in the Designer’s right-hand panel).

We automatically create a dedicated page for each Collection, which can be accessed from your homepage. Collections are not automatically added to your website navigation.

Can I add Collections to my website navigation? 

Yes! You can link to individual Collections pages from your website navigation by editing your Header links:

  1. Visit your live website to find the URL for a Collection page 
  2. Copy the URL of that page from your website browser
  3. In your Author Websites dashboard, navigate to the Header section of the Website Designer
  4. Follow these instructions to add a new link to your website navigation, pasting in the URL of the Collections page for the new link and naming it anything you like
