We designed Author Websites so that building a website is simple and straightforward — no matter how much content you want to include. To get started, follow these four easy steps:
- Add your book(s). You can add and manage books from your Books page. If your book is available as an ebook, you can import it from Amazon or BookBub. Alternatively, you can manually enter your key book data (like your book’s title, description, retailer links, and cover image).
- Complete your author information. Visit your Author Bio page to enter your author name, a brief author bio, and upload an image. You can also choose to add links to other websites that you'd like to appear on the About page of your site, like an externally-hosted blog or an online store.
- Select your website template. Browse our template options and choose the one you like best as a starting point — you’ll be able to make further customizations to your site design later.
- Register or connect a domain. If you already own a domain, you can connect it to your Author Website. If you don’t, you can register a new one right in your dashboard!
