Use these instructions to set up an email address on the same domain as your Author Website. These are instructions for creating your email address in Google Workspace; you can find instructions for other email services in your Author Websites dashboard.

In order to follow these instructions, you will first need to create a Google Workspace account. Make sure you enter your Author Websites domain name when setting up your account.
- Visit the Domain page in your Google Workspace dashboard. (You can access this through the left-hand sidebar under Account.) Click Verify Domain.
- Select "My domain uses a different host".
You should now see a screen titled Add Verification Codes.
- In a separate window, open your DNS Records page in your Author Websites dashboard (you can access this page from Settings > DNS Records).
Here, copy and paste the "Priority" and "Points to" values from your Google Workspace dashboard into your Author Websites DNS Records page. The "Points to" value should go in the "Value (mail server)" field.
- Click Save. It's okay if there are blank fields remaining in your dashboard!
- In your Google Workspace dashboard, check the box indicating you've updated the code with your domain host, then click "Confirm".
- If you see Google's confirmation on the next page, your email is ready!
If you don't see this immediately, it's okay! It can take up to a few hours for the records to propagate. If your verification doesn’t work the first time around, confirm that you’ve saved your updated records in your Author Websites dashboard, then wait 30 minutes and reattempt the verification.
